We were much excited to see the delivered CNC-milled parts. After assembly, it looks like below. Somehow the company doing the mechanical design for us didn't prepare the correct black-colored screws and rubber for the grip as we had expected, thus the prototype looks a bit awkward with those rush prepared shining screws and ad hoc cut red grip rubber.
The design has 0.3mm gap for the motor holding parts. Due to variation tolerance of the CNC milled screw mount height and added thickness of the black baking varnish on the gimbal arms, the 0.3mm gap turn out to be too small and the motors have problem turning after some rotated angle. The prototype need to be sent back to the factory for minor modifications, extending the gap to 0.5mm. Hope it'll return soon for firmware tuning!
